Joddie

Joddie first started in PathPoint’s Integrated Work Program where he attended daily to work on prevocational skills. After seeing Joddie’s abilities it was suggested that he attend a yearlong internship through another PathPoint program called Project SEARCH. During his internship at Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield during that time, the Cafeteria staff noticed Joddie’s diligence and daily smile on his face at work.

Rachel

Rachel, a PathPoint independent living program participant since 2001, had a dream of becoming a Community Access Project (CAP) Mobility Aide. After her position as a Food Service Assistant at an elementary school ended due to lay-offs from budget cuts, Rachel gave much thought as to what she wanted her next job to be.

Darcy

Darcy enjoys his independent life after homelessness at Santa Barbara’s Artisan Court, where he receives on-site services from PathPoint’s Residential Support Services. Since being housed from homelessness in October of 2013, Darcy has engaged in all kinds of community activities with PathPoint including cooking classes and outings.

James

James began with PathPoint Behavioral Health Services in 1988 when he first moved into a group living home in Santa Barbara. Over the course of his participation, James moved into to more independent homes. Receiving PathPoint support, he was able to attend UCSB, and then Antioch University for his Master’s degree.
